Day 45, Practice 36 (Friday):
Binded by myself in Pasasana.
Day 46, Practice 37 (Primary - Intermediate Led):
I tend to get extremely exhausted after doing Saturday led classes, inducing me into a 1-2 hour coma after a breakfast meal of museli, fruit and yogurt or almond milk when I get home. The pace of breathing is something that I find difficulty in getting used to and I suppose that is the reason behind it.
For today's Led class teacher went into more details for postures such as supta kurmasana, supta konasana, Urdhva Mukha Paschimottasana and Setu Bandhasana.
For Supta K: We practiced 2 types of single leg on shoulder related movements: straightening the leg repeatedly to enforce the neuro-mascular pathways in the transition to tittibhasana-bakasana before jumping back to catavri position. I consider myself not being able to do any of those. At least, nothing close.
Supta konasana: We focused on the rolling down movement of dropping the legs to the ground. Ankle should be dorsiflexed so the heels can avoid coming into contact with the floor before the calves reaches it first. Again, no check for me as I have no calves. LOL.
UMP: Dropping down of the shoulder blades first before pulling in with biceps, dhristi at the toes.
Setu Bandasana: Practiced the feet position while standing up and extending the thoracic spine backwards.
I always feel like a total beginner with no yoga experience in teacher's led classes these days and I don't know why. It's so humbling that I feel my learning and hard work in the past have added up to nothing, like I probably still need another 5 to 10 years to complete a proper primary series.
That goes without saying, I don't feel strong nor flexible today at all.
We practiced up to salabhasana A and B before wrapping it up.
A very long savasana was given, I almost snored away...
